Among the questions surrounding the deceased billionaire Jeffrey Epstein is this: Who was he? While you may have seen discussions or memes online talking about Epstein, they don’t talk about the life that shaped the most infamous pedophile in history.
Epstein started his life in Brooklyn in 1953, graduating at 16 from Lafayette High School in 1969. He attended college at both Cooper Union and New York University (NYU), but he left NYU without a degree in 1974.
Epstein quickly found a job as a math and physics teacher in 1974 at the Dalton School, a private school in Manhattan. Former students at the Dalton School say that he could be seen flirting with his students regularly. None of his students have accused him of misconduct beyond this, however. He left Dalton in 1976 when he was fired for poor performance.
Epstein soon moved into finance at “Bear Stearns”, a trading firm. He quickly moved up in the ranks, making partner by 1980. In 1981, Epstein was fired due to a violation of rules laid out by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission outlining who can trade in securities.

That same year he started a firm that helped recover stolen or lost funds for wealthy clients. Soon after, in 1988, he started a consulting firm for clients whose valuation exceeded 1 billion dollars.
His only publicly consulted client is Leslie Wexner, CEO of “Victoria’s Secret” and “L Brands”. Wexner gave Epstein full legal authority to represent him. Epstein is accused to have abused this authority, sexually assaulting models and prospective models.
In 2008 he was prosecuted for soliciting prostitution from a minor and, due to a plea deal, was sentenced to 18 months in prison with the ability to leave for twelve hours six days of every week.
In 2019 he was arrested coming off of his plane from Paris on a warrant for sex trafficking. He died in prison awaiting trial the same year..
The recent releases of files related to the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein has sparked a renewed interest in his associates and clients. Epstein is alleged to have the richest people in the world as his clientele. Among his alleged clients are Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and the former “Prince” Andrew.
